What Do We Do?
That which is needed.
What does Cool Cats Rescue Inc. do?—a little bit of everything it seems; our work consists of meeting our animal's many needs so that they may live comfortable and fulfilling lives. As a result, our work is never-ending and highly varied.
Our Work:
At Cool Cats, our team members wear many hats.

Feeding
The bulk of Cool Cats Rescue Inc.'s efforts consist of feeding stray cats. This task is done on a nightly basis and we currently have many stops along our nightly route.

Such feedings, of course, also include the cats in our personal care.

Rescue
Cool Cats—as part of our monitoring of the cats we care for—will remove animals from dangerous situations if significant injury, sickness or abuse is suspected.

Such animals are typically first taken to one of the vets we work closely with for a check-up.

Medical Care
When feeding, we consistently monitor the cats in our care and if there is an injured or sick cat, we typically remove the animal and work expediently to take him or her to the veterinarian for prompt care.

Sometimes after a vet visit, more care is required and Cool Cats' staff will typically do this indefinite remedial care themselves, resources permitting.

Sheltering/Rehabilitating
Cool Cats temporarily houses and shelters cats that have been removed from perilous situations until a loving new home can be found for them.

Further, cats which have been removed from the streets of Palm Beach County due to sickness or injury and housed and sheltered until they make a full recovery, at which point a decision about adoption or release is made.

Fostering/Adoption
The focus of Cool Cats' efforts is finding our cats—whom we love dearly—kind and loving homes that are of mutual warmth and benefit. To that end, we offer a "foster-to-adopt program" for cats deemed eligible candidates.

To date, Cool Cats has adopted out dozens of cats to forever homes! The former is not surprising because our cats are incredibly tender creatures, who typically connect well with humans.

Outreach and Engagement
A burgeoning portion of Cool Cats work, includes community outreach and engagement to spread awareness about the plight of stray street cats in Palm Beach County, FL, including the many threats they face, which include:
-
illegal harvest by malefactors
-
starvation and resource privation
-
injury or death from automobiles
-
disease from poor and unsanitary living conditions
